Mullen Ranked in Final OWH Class D2 Poll

The Omaha World Herald has released its final rankings for the 2018-19 boys high school basketball season. The Mullen Broncos are ranked #9 in the final D2 poll. Mullen finished the season at 17-7 overall. The Broncos won the D2-10 subdistrict title but fell one game short of making the state tournament losing to Blue Hill in the D2-8 district final. State champion Johnson-Brock was ranked #1 followed by Osmond at #2, Riverside #3, Falls City Sacred Heart #4, and Humphrey St. Francis was #5. The rest of the D2 top ten included Exeter-Milligan at #6, Loomis #7, Blue Hill #8, and Lawrence-Nelson is ranked tenth.

Southwest Conference Champion Ogallala finished #3 in the final Class C1 rankings. Ogallala finished the season at 28-1 with their only loss coming to North Bend Central in the state semifinals. The Indians defeated Wahoo in the C1 3rd place game 74-63. State champion Auburn was ranked #1 followed by North Bend Central at #2. The rest of the C1 top ten included : Wahoo #4, Grand Island Central Catholic #5, Adams Central #6, Boys Town #7, Kearney Catholic #8, Wahoo Bishop Neumann #9, and Milford #10
