The Mullen girls basketball team is headed to the state tournament next week in Lincoln. The Lady Broncos punched their ticket to state with a 44-39 win over Maywood Hayes Center to claim the D2-6 district title Friday night at North Platte High School. Mullen will play BDS (Bruning Davenport Shickley) in the opening round of the tournament. The other first round D2 state matchups will feature Falls City Sacred Heart vs Ewing, Humphrey St. Francis vs Wynot, and CWC (Chambers Wheeler Central) vs Sterling.
