The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference girls and boys basketball tournaments continue today with the semifinals at North Platte Community College. The girls semifinals will be played first followed by the boys semis. The first girls semifinal will feature the top seed from the Sandhills division, Mullen against the Anselmo-Merna Lady Coyotes. Mullen is 13-2 on the season while Anselmo-Merna is 7-8 and has collected wins over Stapleton and Ansley/Litchfield in the tournament. The second girls semifinal matches South Loup, the top seed in the Loup Valley division, against Cody-Kilgore. The Lady Bobcats are now 12-3 on the season while the Cowgirls out of the Sandhills division are 10-4 on the season. In the boys semifinals, game one will feature a rematch of last year’s tournament championship game as Mullen (10-4) takes on 12-1 South Loup. The second semifinal will see the top seed from the Loup Valley division, Anselmo-Merna (12-2), taking on Sandhills/Thedford who enters the contest at 7-6.
