Callaway senior Megan Donegan signed her letter of intent Thursday to play basketball collegiately for Southeast Community College in Beatrice. Donegan has played high school basketball for South Loup the sports co-op between Callaway and Arnold public schools. Southeast CC in Beatrice competes in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association. When asked what drew her to Southeast Donegan said she was pleased by the campus and the kindness that was shown and enjoyed the interaction with the Southeast coach. Donegan visited about the development of her game from freshman year of high school to now.
The South Loup girls basketball team started the season 2-4 but have since won 15 in a row as of Thursday (2/10). South Loup will begin play in the C2-10 sub district tournament in Amherst on Tuesday. Donegan talked about the sub district tournament next week.
