Local Sports Calendar 9/12 – High School Volleyball on KBBN – Broken Bow at NPSP Triangular

The Broken Bow volleyball team will travel to North Platte today for a triangular with North Platte St. Pat’s and Cozad. Broken Bow is off to a 4-1 start this season and is coming off a third place finish at the Lexington Invite this past weekend. Bow’s only loss so far came against undefeated and top five ranked St. Paul in the semifinals of the Lexington tournament last Saturday. North Platte St. Pat’s also competed at the Lexington Invite this past weekend making it to the championship match where they fell to St. Paul. After starting the season 1-2, the Lady Irish have won 3 of their last 4 matches and are 4-3 on the season. Cozad enters tonight’s triangular looking for their first win of the season coming in with an 0-4 record. Tonight’s matches are scheduled to begin at 5:30. Broken Bow’s matches against St. Pat’s and Cozad will be broadcast tonight on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com

In other area volleyball action scheduled for tonight, South Loup will play at Gothenburg, Ansley/Litchfield will host Axtell at Litchfield, and Burwell will host Neligh-Oakdale and Fullerton for a triangular tonight.

Also on the local sports calendar today, the Broken Bow girls golf team will host its annual home invite at the Broken Bow Country Club. Teams scheduled to compete with Broken Bow today are Ainsworth, Centura, Gothenburg, Kearney Catholic, Arcadia/Loup City, Minden, Mullen, Ogallala, St. Paul, and Valentine. Tee time for the tournament is set for 10 AM.

Several area cross country teams will be competing today at the Arcadia/Loup City Rebel invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30.
