The Broken Bow wrestling team will travel to Ainsworth today to compete at the Southwest Conference wrestling championships. Broken Bow will look to repeat as team champions. The Indians will be joined at today’s meet by Gothenburg, Cozad, Ainsworth, Valentine, Minden, McCook, and Ogallala. Coverage of today’s meet can be heard on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. The Fort Kearny Conference girls basketball tournament continues today with the semifinal round at Minden. SEM will face Pleasanton in the semifinals. Pleasanton advanced with a quarterfinal win over Loomis (63-48) and SEM edged Ansely/Litchfield in the quarters (47-42). On the other half of the bracket, top seed Amherst will face #4 seed Overton. Today’s winners will advance to the conference championship game on Saturday.
Twin Loup will host Anselmo-Merna today in an area girls and boys basketball doubleheader. The girls varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM.
