South Loup hosted its boys golf invitational last Friday at the Arnold golf course. The Cozad JV’s recorded the low team score with a 352. Mullen was just one shot behind with a 353 and South Loup was third with a 393. Koby Walker of Mullen had the low round of the day with a 71. Walker shot a 34 on the front nine followed by a 37 on the back. Colby Smith of South Loup was second with a 78. Three golfers from the Cozad JV squad finished in the top ten. Paul Cole was third (79), Jacob Engel was fourth (85), and Jackson Lighthall tied with Brett Downing of Sandhills/Thedford for 9th with a 90. Other area top ten finishers included Tate Eggleston of South Loup – 6th (87) and Max Svoboda of Mullen was 7th (88)
