KCNI/KBBN to Broadcast Boys State Basketball (Link to brackets)

Yesterday, the official NSAA Boys Basketball State Championship brackets were releasedSee them here. Since Monday night’s C1 and C2 District finals, unofficial point totals indicated that the Broken Bow Indians and the South Loup Bobcats had earned trips to Lincoln as wild card teams. With the official release of the brackets verifying that assumption, the tournament is now set.  Broken Bow goes to next week’s tournament as the #3 seed in Class C1 with a 22-3 record.  For the third time this season, they will take on Boone Central/Newman Grove, the #6 seed.  That game will start at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th at the Devaney Center and be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM, KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.  South Loup is the #6 seed in Class C2 and will meet three-seed Hastings St. Cecilia’s at 2:00 on Thursday, March 8th.  That game will be played at Lincoln Southeast High School and our live coverage will be on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. We will also bring you live coverage of another local C2 team, the Arcadia-Loup City Rebels, as well as a local D2 team, the Mullen Broncos.  More information about those games, broadcast schedules will be announced next Monday.
