The KBBN area football game of the week on Friday will feature the Sandhills/Thedford Knights on the road against the Twin Loup Wolves in Sargent. Sandhills/Thedford is ranked #7 this week in Class D2 by the Omaha World Herald. The Knights have been impressive averaging 58 points per game during their 3-0 start. Not to be overlooked is the fact that they have only given up a total of 6 points. S/T head coach Josh Deines told KCNI/KBBN Sports that they implemented a new defense coming into this season and he has been pleased with the way his players have adjusted to the new look.
It has been a rough start to the season from a win/loss standpoint for the Twin Loup Wolves. The Wolves are still looking for their first win this season. Coach Mike Kozeal told Central Nebraska’s Sports Source that in spite of the tough start the team continues to have a good mind set and works hard every week to get better.
Friday’s Sandhills/Thedford vs Twin Loup game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. Coverage will begin with the Consolidated Friday Night Lights Pregame Show at 6 pm. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7:30.
