Twin Loup will host Mullen on the KBBN area football game of the week Friday. Both teams will look to rebound following losses in their season openers. Wade Marsh is in his second season as head coach of the Mullen Broncos. Coach Marsh said the team got “banged up” a little bit in their opener last week against rival Sandhills/Thedford. Coach Marsh told KCNI/KBBN sports that one of the areas of focus this week in practice has been getting more physical up front.
Twin Loup is coming off a loss to North Central in their opener last Friday. The Wolves are, overall, a pretty young team this year. Coach Kozeal told Central Nebraska’s Sports Source that the attitude has been pretty good this week and their focus is to keep getting better especially on defense.
Friday night’s game will be broadcast live on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. Jeremy Shipe and Gavin Higgins will have the play by play from Taylor with kickoff scheduled for 7:30. Coverage begins with the Consolidated Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6pm.
