Broken Bow senior Kaylee Petersen signed her letter of intent Friday to play college softball for Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Petersen said she has always wanted to play softball on the college level and now she will see that dream come true. The Broken Bow summer softball program has been a big part of Petersen’s life growing up and she credits the coaches she has had in helping her get to this point.
Petersen said she reached out to the Northeast softball coaching staff in early March and after seeing videos of Petersen pitch a scholarship offer was made.
Kaylee will join her high school teammate and classmate Nikki Peters on next year’s Northeast team as Peters has also signed her letter of intent to play for the school.
