The Broken Bow volleyball team went 2-2 and placed 7th at the Seward Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Indians went 1-2 in pool play falling to Seward in a tight two set match to start the day 26-24, 25-23. Broken Bow then knocked off Oakland Craig 2-1 (28-26, 14-25, 28-26) with Hannah Barker collecting 10 kills in the match to lead the team. It was just the third loss of the season for Oakland Craig at the time. Oakland Craig finished second in the tournament falling to undefeated Lincoln Lutheran in the championship match. In the final match of pool play, Omaha Concordia def. Broken Bow, 25-20, 5-25, 25-13 (2-1). Broken Bow faced South Sioux City in the 7th place match winning in straight sets 25-7, 25-17. Halle McCaslin had 8 kills and Janae Marten had 5 in the Broken Bow victory. Bow is now 6-6 on the season.
