SEM hosted a quad with Arcadia/Loup City, Pleasanton, and Twin Loup Tuesday night with each team playing two matches. In the opening matches of the evening, SEM came back from falling behind early in the first set to Twin Loup but ended up winning it 25-23. In the second set, it was SEM that got off to the early lead and was able to hang on by a score of 25-19 to win the match 2 sets to none. Meanwhile, Pleasanton, #2 ranked in the state in Class D1 according to the Omaha World Herald, defeated Arcadia/Loup City in straight sets 25-18-25-22. In round two, it was Pleasanton winning over SEM 25-7, 25-13 and Arcadia/Loup City defeated Twin Loup 25-8, 25-13.
Broken Bow claimed the title at their home invite Tuesday at the Indian Gym. Broken Bow began with an opening round win over Valentine 25-15, 25-15. Bow would meet Mullen in the championship as Mullen defeated Doniphan-Trumbull in the opening round. Broken Bow would win in straight sets 25-11, 25-15. Majesta Valasek had 11 kills in the match and Kailyn Scott 15 assists as the Lady Indians improved to 26-2 on the season. Next up for Bow is the Southwest Conference Tournament in Gothenburg on Friday. All Bow matches will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM
At the Hi-Line Invite, (Hi-Line is the coop with Elwood and Eustis-Farnam) Hi-Line defeated Ansley/Litchfield in the opening round 25-11, 25-17 and Anselmo-Merna won over Brady. In the consolation match Ansley/Litchfield def. Brady 25-12, 25-18. In the championship, it was Anselmo-Merna winning over Hi-Line 2-1 (25-23, 12-25, 25-15)
