The Nebraska High School Rodeo Association continued its fall season this past weekend with stops in Callaway and North Platte. Here are some of the area highlights from the 7 Valleys Rodeo Saturday in Callaway. Cooper Bass of Brewster was the boys all around winner Saturday and Madison Mills of Eddyville was the girls all around champion. Mills won the pole bending and was runner-up in the barrels on Saturday while Bass was second in the boys cutting, was third in the tie down roping, and teamed with Zack Bradley for a runner-up finish in the team roping event.
On Sunday at the Lincoln County HSR in North Platte, Taci Flinn of Arcadia was the girls all around champion. Flinn finished 2nd in the barrels, and was also runner-up in the pole bending. Other area highlights Sunday included Madison Mills of Eddyville winning the pole bending in a time of 21.533 and Jentri Hurlburt of Arcadia teamed with Trey Garey of Broken Bow to win the team roping in a time of 8.22 seconds.
