High School Football Scores 9/17

The Broken Bow football team suffered its first loss of the season Friday night falling to defending Class C2 state champion Ord 28-6. Ord quarterback Dylan Hurlburt ran for two touchdowns and threw for two touchdowns to lead the Chanticleers to victory. Broken Bow trailed 14-0 at halftime but took the 2nd half kickoff down the field and had first and goal with a chance to make it a one possession game but the Ord defense held Broken Bow on fourth and goal. Ord then marched 98 yards to go up 21-0. Broken Bow would get on the board with 10:30 left in the 4th quarter when Cyrus Wells scored on a 4 yd. touchdown run to make the score 21-6. Again Ord would answer putting together a 54 yard touchdown drive to seal the game for their third win of the season. Broken Bow is now 3-1 and will travel to O’Neill next Friday.
