The Broken Bow football team dropped to 1-3 on the season falling to Chadron at home Friday night. Chadron scored on their opening three drives of the game to go up 20-0. Broken Bow was able to get on the board before the half when Blake Denson connected with Skeeter Campbell on a 43 yard touchdown pass to make the score 20-6. Chadron extended their lead with under a minute remaining in the third quarter when Dillan Sayaloune scored from 3 yards out for his third touchdown of the night to go up by 22. Bow would answer back with 8:50 remaining in the game when Blake Denson connected with Mykael Stoddard on a 45 yard touchown pass to pull to within 16 but would not be able to get any closer as Chadron held on for a 28-12 victory. Broken Bow will travel to Valentine next Friday.

In the KBBN area game of the week, Sandhills/Thedford remained undefeated with an impressive 72-24 win over Paxton. Through four games, the Knights are averaging 61 points per game. Trae Hickman was one of the stars rushing for 111 yards on just 10 carries and 3 touchdowns and also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns. Sandhills/Thedford go into their bye week next Friday before hosting Maxwell on October 3rd.
