The high school football playoffs continue today across the state. Today is the opening round for classes, A, B, C1, C2, and Six Man. The SEM Mustangs are in the 6 man playoff field. The Mustangs finished the regular season at 3-5 and will travel out west to take on the top seed Cody-Kilgore. Today’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. Kickoff is scheduled for 2pm central time.
Sandhills Valley (Stapleton/ McPherson County) is in the 6 man playoffs as well. The Mavericks are the 11 seed and will play at #6 Maywood Hayes Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
In Class C1, Gothenburg and Cozad will play in the opening round. Cozad finished the regular season at 5-4 and will play at undefeated Ashland Greenwood tonight at 7pm. Gothenburg is the #5 seed and will host Ord tonight at 7pm. Gothenburg and Ord met one another to close out the regular season last week with the Swedes winning in overtime 17-14.
