High School Basketball Scores 2/8

The Broken Bow girls basketball team suffered its 4th loss of the season Tuesday night falling to Ord on the road 57-50.  The Lady Indians built an 11 point lead in the third quarter but Ord cut it to seven heading into the final quarter.  The Lady Chants would then outscore Broken Bow 23-9 in the 4th quarter to come back and pick up their 17th win of the season.  Broken Bow had three players score in double figures led by Kailyn Scott with 16.  Gaby Staples came off the bench to score 11 and Brianna Quinn had 10 for the Lady Indians who are now 18-4 on the season.

The Broken Bow boys collected their 6th win of the season with a 54-49 overtime win over Ord.  The Indians were clutch at the free throw line down the stretch.  Broken Bow was 5 of 6 from the line in overtime to help seal the win.  Carsten Fox had a game high 16 points with 14 of those coming in the 2nd half and overtime.  Austin Harvey also finished in double figures or the Indians with 14.  The Broken Bow girls and boys will host Cozad on Friday at the Indian gym.

Arcadia/Loup City hosted Ansley/Litchfield for a girls and boys doubleheader Tuesday night in Loup City.  The Ansley/Litchfield girls held on for their 8th win of the season winning 48-37.  The Lady Spartans were led by Carli Bailey who had a game high 16 and Kaylee Rohde also finished in double figures with 15.  The Lady Rebels were led by Halie Kaslon who had 13 points and Eva Jaixen finished in double figures with 11.  In the boys game, Ansley/Litchfield jumped out to a 13-0 lead to start the game but could not hold it as Arcadia/Loup City came back to win 39-37.  The Rebels trailed by 7 at the end of the 1st quarter, were within six at the half and trailed by just three at the end of the third.  Arcadia/Loup City would outscore A/L 12-7 in the 4th quarter to complete the comeback and collect their 5th win of the season.  Ansley/Litchfield falls to 13-7 on the season.  Arcadia/Loup City was led by Hayden Griffith who had a game high 16 points.  Caden Holm led the Spartans with a team high 13.
