High School Basketball Scores 2/3

The Broken Bow boys and girls basketball teams each picked up wins on the road Saturday night at Ogallala. The Broken Bow girls won their 7th in a row and improved to 12-9 on the season with a 45-32 victory over Ogallala. The Broken Bow boys edged Ogallala 55-51. The Bow boys have not lost since the calendar turned to 2018 and are now 18-2 on the season. Broken Bow will be on the road again Tuesday night when they travel to Ord. KCNI/KBBN radio will partner with News Channel Nebraska for a live television broadcast of the games. They had to go extra time Saturday night to determine a champion in the Lou-Platte Conference boys basketball tournament as top seed Arcadia/Loup City defeated #2 seed Ravenna 57-53 in overtime. Nolan Baker led the Rebels with 22 points and made critical free throws in the overtime period to help secure the win. According to the Omaha World Herald, it was the first boys conference title for either Arcadia or Loup City in 45 years. ALC is now 18-1 on the season. Ord claimed the Lou-Platte Conference girls tournament title with a 58-46 win over Ravenna.
