The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams each picked up a win over Lexington on Tuesday night at the Indian gym. For the Broken Bow girls it was their 17th win of the season. The Lady Indians gave another strong defensive effort holding Lexington to just eight first half points on their way to a 56-30 victory. Nine players scored for Broken Bow led by Kya Scott with 13 points and MaKinley Tobey also finished in double figures with 11. Broken Bow is now 17-3 on the season. The Broken Bow boys claimed their fifth win of the season in thrilling fashion as they came back to knock off Lexington in overtime 64-60. Broken Bow led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter but Lexington came back with a strong 2nd quarter to lead 27-19 at the half. Broken Bow managed to fight back and tie the game at the end of regulation before finally regaining the lead in overtime. Broken Bow was led by Austin Harvey who had a game high 26 points. Eli Coble had 13 and Daine Wardyn 12 to help lead the Indians. Both teams will travel to Ogallala on Saturday.
