The Broken Bow girls fell to Minden Saturday night in a matchup of top ten teams in Class C1. The Lady Indians led 27-21 at halftime and extended that lead to 39-29 in the third quarter. However, Broken Bow would score just six points from that point on as Minden closed the game on a 21-6 run to come back for a 50-45 win. It was Broken Bow’s first loss of the season. Janae Marten hit four 3’s to lead Broken Bow in scoring with 12 points and Halle McCaslin also finished in double figures with 11. The Broken Bow boys fell to Minden 49-39. Minden led by four at halftime but outscored Broken Bow 13-5 in the third quarter and held on for the win. Bow was led by Roman Schmidt who hit three 3’s and finished with a team high 10 points. Broken Bow is now 1-1 on the season.
