High School Basketball on KBBN – Broken Bow vs Holdrege

Broken Bow goes on the road tonight for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader against Holdrege. The Broken Bow girls are 8-2 this season with their only losses coming to Class C1 St. Paul and Class B Bennington who are a combined 18-3 and both ranked in the top ten of their respective class. The Lady Indians are ranked #7 this week in Class C1 by the Omaha World Herald just one spot behind St. Paul. The Holdrege girls are 2-7 this year with wins against Lexington and Amherst. In the boys game, Broken Bow will be looking for their first win of the season against a Dusters team that is 2-7 this season with wins over Gothenburg and Sidney. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com beginning with the girls varsity game which is scheduled to tip off at 6pm.

Also on the local sports calendar today, the Broken Bow wrestling team will travel to Malcolm for a dual tonight followed by a trip to David City for the Aquinas Catholic Invite on Saturday.

Burwell will host its annual wrestling invitational today. Among the area teams scheduled to join the Longhorns at today’s meet are Ansley/Litchfield, Twin Loup, SEM, and Arcadia/Loup City.
