Hastings Tops Columbus in 4 Sets
Hastings defeated Columbus 3-1 on Thursday night.

HASTINGS – The Tigers showed their resilience on Thursday evening.

Hastings hosted Columbus for their final home game of the season and defeated the Discoverers 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-22) after dropping the opening set and trailing by eight in set number two.

CeCe Beahm led the Tigers with 19 kills while Brooke Aspen added 11 more. Kyla Rickert was a force defensively with seven blocks and Dacey Sealey added five. Kamri Adler posted a team-high 18 digs.

Jaidyn Garret led Columbus with 18 kills in the defeat while Lauren Benck added seven. Rylee Kwapnioski paced CHS defensively with 14 digs while Regi Zakrzewski and Garret also hit double digits with 12 and 10 respectively.

Hastings travels to Cozad on Tuesday while Columbus hosts Kearney.
