Girls Subdistrict Basketball – Area Results 2/12

SEM advanced to the semifinals of the D1-9 girls basketball subdistrict tournament Tuesday night with a 30-28 victory over Twin Loup. Lindsey Dittmar led the way for SEM with 10 points. Kalayah Ironshell led Twin Loup with a team high 8 points. SEM advances to play the top seed Pleasanton tonight. The second semifinal will feature Central Valley, the 2 seed, against Ansley/Litchfield, the 3 seed.

Centura outlasted Ravenna 63-58 in triple overtime Tuesday night in the opening game of the C1-10 subdistrict at Central Valley high school. Centura will now play top seed Broken Bow tonight at 6pm. The game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. St. Paul plays Ord in tonight’s other semifinal

McPherson County edged Stapleton 29-26 in the opening game of the D2-9 subdistrict tournament at North Platte St. Pat’s. McPherson County will play top seed Mullen tonight followed by Sandhills/Thedford against Anselmo-Merna. Both games will be broadcast tonight on KBBN 95.3 FM and on the web at kbbn.com

South Loup is the top seed at the C2-11 subdistrict tournament in Cozad and will play Southern Valley tonight. Southern Valley advanced with a 52-33 win over Maxwell Tuesday night. Tonight’s other matchup features Amherst against Elm Creek

Gothenburg defeated Cozad 53-41 Tuesday in the opening game of the C1-11 subdistrict at Sutherland. Gothenburg advances to play top seed Ogallala tonight which will be followed by Chase County against Hershey

Burwell advanced to the final of the C2-9 subdistrict tournament with a 64-32 win over Palmer Tuesday night. Burwell will play Twin River Thursday night as Twin River knocked off Arcadia/Loup City 48-29.
