Girls Sub District Basketball

Central Nebraska’s Sports Source presents live coverage of girls sub district basketball this week.  Broken Bow is the top seed and host of the C1-10 sub district tournament.  The Lady Indians begin play today with their game scheduled to tip off at 5 pm.  Broken Bow will play Ainsworth who advanced with a 59-51 win over Valentine on Monday. The other C1-10 matchup tonight will feature O’Neill, the two seed, against the #3 seed Ord.  Today’s winners will advance to the sub-district championship game on Thursday.  All Broken Bow sub district games will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.

The start of the D1-10 sub district tournament in Merna has been pushed back to Wednesday.  Anselmo-Merna is the top seed and will open against Sandhills/Valley at 5:30.  That game will be followed by the #2 seed Ansley/Litchfield taking on the #3 seed Maxwell.  The winners will advance to the sub district final on Thursday.  Wednesdays games from the D1-10 sub will now be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.

In other area sub district action, South Loup is the top seed and is hosting the C2-11 sub district tournament at Callaway.  South Loup opens against the #4 seed Hi-Line followed by Perkins County against Sutherland.

Ravenna is the top seed and hosting the C2-9 sub district tournament.  Ravenna will play Centura who defeated Arcadia/Loup City 45-35 on Monday.  Burwell is the #3 seed in the tournament and will face the #2 seed Fullerton.

Mullen is the top seed and hosting the D2-10 sub district tournament at the Hilltop Gymnasium.  Mullen will tip off their tournament today against Paxton who defeated Hyannis 65-13 on Monday.  Sandhills/Thedford is the #3 seed and will play Arthur County.  Today’s winners advance to the sub district final on Thursday.

Twin Loup opens play at the D2-6 sub district tournament at Wheeler Central.  The Lady Wolves will open against the top seed Chambers Wheeler Central with the winner advancing to Thursday’s game against the winner of Stuart and St. Mary’s.

SEM is the top seed at the D2-8 sub district which will be played at Bertrand High School.  SEM will play Brady followed by Bertrand against Loomis.  The winners will play each other Thursday.
