Girls Sub District Basketball Pairings Released

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has released the pairings for girls sub district basketball tournaments which begin next week.  Broken Bow is the #2 seed in the C1-11 sub district tournament.  The Lady Indians will face the #3 seed Kearney Catholic on Tuesday (2/14).  The top seed and host team for the tournament is Gothenburg.  The Lady Swedes will face the winner of Monday’s game between Holdrege and Cozad.  Tuesday’s winners will face off for the sub district championship on Thursday (2/16).  All Broken Bow games from the sub district tournament will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com

Arcadia/Loup City is the #4 seed at the C2-9 sub district.  The Lady Rebels will face the top seed and host team Amherst on Tuesday (2/14) with the winner advancing out to the sub district final where they will play the winner of Doniphan Trumbull vs Wood River.

South Loup is the #4 seed in the five team C2-11 sub district tournament.  South Loup will open against Sutherland on Monday (2/13) with the winner advancing to play the top seed Southern Valley on Tuesday.  North Platte St. Pat’s is the #2 seed and will face Southwest on Tuesday.

Ravenna is the top seed and host team of the loaded D1-9 sub district tournament.  Twin Loup is the #4 seed and will face Burwell on Monday (2/13) with the winner advancing to play the top seed Ravenna on Tuesday.  SEM is the #3 seed and will face Centura in the sub district semifinals.

Sandhills Valley is the #3 seed at the D1-11 sub district.  The Lady Mavericks will face Cambridge on Tuesday.  The top seed and host team is Maywood Hayes Center.  Maywood Hayes Center will play the winner of Monday’s game between Hi-Line and Maxwell.

Sandhills/Thedford is the top seed in the D2-7 sub district and will host the tournament at Sandhills High School in Dunning.  The Lady Knights will play the winner of Monday’s game between Ansley/Litchfield and Elba on Tuesday (2/14).  Anselmo-Merna is the #3 seed and will play Pleasanton on Tuesday.  Tuesday’s winners will face off Thursday for the sub district championship.  All games from the D2-7 sub district tournament will be broadcast by Central Nebraska’s Sports Source.

Mullen will compete in the D2-12 sub district.  The Lady Broncos will play Hyannis on Tuesday (2/14) with the winner advancing to the sub district final to play the winner of top seed Hay Springs vs Cody-Kilgore.
