Girls sub district tournament action continues today. Broken Bow will begin play in the C1-10 sub district. The Lady Indians are the top seed in the tournament and are hosting
today’s games. Broken Bow will face off against Kearney Catholic tonight with the winner advancing to the sub district championship to play the winner of tonight’s Gothenburg / Minden matchup. Broken Bow is 18-4 this season while Kearney Catholic enters at 14-9 following their sub district win over Cozad last night. The two met earlier in the season with Broken Bow winning 65-29. Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 and will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM/96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com.
Anselmo-Merna and Ansley/Litchfield will open play at the D2-7 sub district tournament. AM is the top seed and host team. The Lady Coyotes are 16-6 and will play Elba at 5:30 this evening. Elba defeated Palmer Monday night 64-30. Ansley/Litchfield is the #2 seed in the tournament and will play Heartland Lutheran tonight at 7. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A special video stream of tonight’s games, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook and You Tube page.
South Loup begins play in the C2-10 sub district tournament today. The Lady Bobcats started the season at 2-4 but have won 16 in a row since. South Loup is the #3 seed in the tournament and will face Southern Valley tonight. The two met back on February 5th with South Loup winning 42-41. The winner will advance to play the winner of Amherst vs Hi-Line.
Arcadia/Loup City and Burwell begin play tonight in the C2-9 sub district at Rock County High School. ALC will face the top seed North Central tonight followed by Burwell vs West Holt.
Twin Loup will play at the D1-10 sub tonight. The Lady Wolves will face top seed Ravenna with the winner moving out to play the winner of Pleasanton / Central Valley.
SEM is the #2 seed at the D1-11 sub. The Lady Mustangs will face the #3 seed Overton. The two met this past Friday with Overton winning 50-32. Sandhills Valley defeated Maxwell Monday night 43-33 and will face the top seed and host team North Platte St. Pat’s.
Sandhills/Thedford is the top seed and Mullen the #2 seed at the D2-10 sub district tournament. The tournament will be played at Thedford with the Lady Knights playing in game one followed by Mullen vs Arthur County in game two.
