Girls Sub District Basketball on KCNI/KBBN Broken Bow at C1-9 Sub / A-M, SEM, and Twin Loup at D2-7

Girls sub district basketball continues today across the state. Broken Bow begins play in the C1-9 tournament in Burwell today. The Lady Indians finished the regular season at 21-2 and are the top seed in the tournament. They will play Valentine at 6 p.m. for the right to advance to the sub-district championship game on Thursday. The Lady Badgers edged Ainsworth Monday night 37-35. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.

Play continues today at the D2-7 sub-district in Broken Bow. Anselmo-Merna is the top seed and will play Heartland Lutheran in the opening game of the day at 5 p.m. Heartland Lutheran defeated Elba Monday night 45-31 to advance. SEM will then play Twin Loup at 7 with the winners advancing to the sub-district final on Thursday. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com

South Loup is the top seed at the C2-11 sub-district tournament at Gothenburg High School. The Lady Bobcats are 19-2 and open play tonight against Hi-Line with the winner advancing to play the winner of tonight’s Maxwell / Elm Creek game on Thursday for the sub-district title.

Ansley/Litchfield is the #3 seed at the D1-8 sub at Kearney Catholic. The Lady Spartans will play Shelton with the winner advancing to play the winner of Pleasanton / Amherst.

Mullen is the top seed at the D2-9 sub district tournament at Paxton. The Lady Broncos are 22-1 this season and will play Hyannis for the right to move on to the sub district final to face the winner of tonight’s Arthur County / Sandhills-Thedford matchup.

Arcadia/Loup City saw its season come to an end Monday night at the C2-10 sub district. The Lady Rebels fell to Centura 47-38. Centura advances to play Ravenna tonight followed by Burwell vs Wood River.
