Girls State Basketball Bracket Released by NSAA

The Nebraska School Activities Association has released the bracket and pairings for the NSAA girls state basketball championships which begin next week in Lincoln.

Broken Bow qualified for state by claiming the C1-6 district championship on Friday.  Broken Bow is the #6 seed in the Class C1 tournament and will open against GICC on Thursday (2/29) at the Devaney Center in Lincoln with tip off scheduled for 3:15 p.m.  The winner will advance to the state semifinals where they will face the winner of Sidney vs Adams Central.  On the other side of the C1 bracket, top seed Lincoln Christian will face North Bend Central and Bridgeport will face Minden.

Sandhills/Thedford qualified for state by claiming the D2-5 district championship on Friday.  S/T is the #5 seed in the Class D2 tournament and will open against Howells-Dodge on Wednesday (2/28) at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln with tip off scheduled for 10:45 a.m.  The winner will advance to the state semifinals where they will face the winner of Overton vs Paxton.  On the other side of the D2 bracket, Falls City Sacred Heart faces Humphrey Saint Francis and Wynot plays Plainview.
