The NSAA released the girls state basketball tournament bracket Saturday morning. Among the teams making it to this year’s tournament are Ansley/Litchfield in Class D1 and Sandhills/Thedford in Class D2. Ansley/Litchfield lost to Overton at the D1-10 sub district tournament but was able to quailify as a wildcard. The Lady Spartans are the #6 seed in Class D1 and will face the #3 seed Guardian Angels Central Catholic Thursday afternoon at 3:45 at Lincoln Southwest High School. Sandhills/Thedford qualified for the state tournament Friday night with a 27-18 victory over Maywood Hayes Center in the D2-5 district championship game. The Lady Knights are the #8 seed in Class D2 and will face top seeded Falls City Sacred Heart at 9am Thursday morning at Lincoln North Star High School. Burwell qualified for the Class C2 tournament by claiming the C2-5 district title. Burwell is the #7 seed in Class C2 and will face the #2 seed Stanton at 8:45 Thursday evening at Lincoln North Star High School.
