Girls State Results – Day Two – Mullen Falls in Semifinals

Mullen dropped just their second game of the year Friday when they fell to Humphrey St. Francis in the semifinals of the Class D2 state tournament. Nebraska recruit Allison Weidner of Humphrey St. Francis delivered an all star performance scoring a game high 39 points as HSF defeated Mullen 68-38 to advance to the D2 championship game on Saturday. Mullen was led by Shelby Welsh who had a game high 13. Taylor Svoboda finished with 11 and Samantha Moore had 8 for the Broncos who will now play in the D2 third place consolation game. In the other D2 semifinal, Wynot defeated top seed Falls City Sacred Heart 37-27.
