Friday Night Football – Broken Bow vs Ord on KCNI and KBBN

The Broken Bow football team will take the field tonight against a familiar rival – Ord.  Tonight’s game sets up as one of the top matchups across the state as Broken Bow enters undefeated at 3-0 and the defending Class C2 state champion Ord enters at 2-1 looking to bounce back from last week’s loss to Norfolk Catholic.  Broken Bow fell behind for the first time this year last week against Gothenburg when the Swedes jumped out to a 7-0 lead.  The Indians responded though picking up the win 32-14.  Broken Bow has shown this year that they are not afraid to go for it on fourth down.  Head coach Carlie Wells visited with KCNI/KBBN sports about his thought process in making those decisions.

Tonight’s Broken Bow / Ord game will be broadcast on both KCNI 96.3 FM and KBBN 95.3 FM, online at kbbn.com, and on the free KBBN Thunderbird and KCNI Pure Country apps.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.   Coverage begins with the Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6.

Other area football matchups scheduled for today include:
Sandhills Valley at South Loup in Arnold (afternoon game)
Ansley/Litchfield vs Pleasanton at Litchfield
Arcadia/Loup City vs Amherst at Loup City
Anselmo-Merna at Ainsworth
Mullen vs Garden County
