FCSH’s Bippes: “We Didn’t Want to Go Home With an ‘L'”

BLOOMFIELD – His numbers weren’t dazzling, nobody on Falls City Sacred Heart had dazzling numbers to be honest, but Drew Bippes made big plays when he needed to get FCSH the win in the Class D2 quarters.

Bippes was 13-of-28 on the night for 103 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The junior was 5-of-15 on the game’s final drive, with each pass completion a big one, including the game-winning six-year TD strike to Jake Hoy on 4th and goal with just 19 seconds remaining.

“Our message was for our seniors,” Bippes said after the game. “They’re a great group of guys, all nine of them. We didn’t want to go home with an ‘L’.”

Falls City Sacred Heart will face BDS in the semi-final on Tuesday, November 14th.
