Fall Sports Preview – Twin Loup Football

The Twin Loup Wolves will look to build on their 2018 season which saw them make the Class D2 playoffs and finish 3-6 overall.  Twin Loup will again compete in the D2-5 district where they will be joined by Central Valley, Clearwater/Orchard, CWCE (Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing), St. Mary’s (O’Neill), and Stuart.  The Wolves will be tested in their non-district games as they open the season on the road against Anselmo-Merna August 29th followed by home games against Riverside and Kenesaw both of whom are ranked in the Omaha World Herald’s preseason Class D2 top ten.  Mike Kozeal enters his 22nd year as a head coach and when asked about the summer work put in by the team Kozeal told KCNI/KBBN sports that they pretty much stayed with the plan that has been in place during his time as coach.

Coach Kozeal said that he is very excited about this year’s team which will be led by a senior group that brings experience, play making ability, and leadership to the team.

Twin Loup will be featured on KBBN 95.3 FM on August 29th in their season opener against Anselmo-Merna and again on October 11th when they host Clearwater/Orchard.
