Today Central Nebraska’s Sports Source continues its series of previews highlighting some of our area sports teams as we prepare for the start of the fall sports season. Today we put the spotlight on the South Loup Bobcats volleyball team. The Lady Bobcats are coming off an outstanding 2017 season as they began the year 14-0 and finished 26-7 and one match shy of making the state tournament falling to Southern Valley in the C2-8 district final. Head coach Randi Atkins shared with us that the success of last year has helped provide this year’s team with confidence and motivation. Some key contributors to last year’s success have graduated and moved on but a good core is returning which should make the Lady Bobcats a solid team once again. South Loup will play at Pleasanton on Tuesday (8/28) and then travel to Mullen on Thursday (8/30).
