Kelly Cooksley enters his 2nd season as the head coach of the Broken Bow girls golf team. Their are 10 girls out for the team this year. The Lady Indians also return 3 of their top 5 golfers from a year ago. The team was in a highly competitive district a year ago and in spite of shooting a very good team score fell just short of qualifying for the state meet. According to Coach Cooksley, making it back to the state tournament as a team will be one of the goals this year.
The team is scheduled to begin its season on August 29th in Kearney at Meadowlark Hill Golf Course. Bow will host its home invitational on September 12th and will also host this year’s SWC conference meet on October 3rd at the Broken Bow Country Club. The state tournament is scheduled for October 14th and 15th.
