Fall Sports Preview – Arcadia/Loup City Football

It was another solid season for the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels in 2020 finishing 6-4 overall with a state playoff appearance.  The Rebels have received some preseason recognition showing up at #10 in the Omaha World Herald Class D1 preseason rankings.  ALC looks to return three starters on offense and four on defense.  Head coach Mike Scott visited with KCNI/KBBN sports about the upcoming season.  Coach Scott said it was nice to have a more “normal” summer this year and was pleased with the progress made in the weight room and at the team camp they participated in.

When asked what the keys would be for his team reach its full potential, coach Scott said it will be important to be efficient in the passing game to be “two dimensional” and compliment what should be a strong running attack.

ALC opens its season August 27th on the road against Elm Creek.  The Rebels will be featured on KBBN radio October 15th when they play at Anselmo-Merna.
