District Volleyball Matchups Announced

The NSAA has announced the matchups for volleyball district finals on Saturday.  Broken Bow will play for the C1-4 district title against Kearney Catholic in Cozad Saturday at 4pm.  The Lady Indians are now 31-2 on the season while Kearney Catholic is 19-13 overall.  The two met in the regular season with Bow winning 3-0 in a good competitive match.  Saturday’s match will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.

South Loup will play for the C2-8 district title against Summerland (Ewing, Clearwater, Orchard).  The match will take place at Burwell high school beginning at 5pm.  South Loup is 26-3 on the season while Summerland enters with a 27-5 record.  The match will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com

Arcadia/Loup City received one of the wildcard berths into the C2 sub-state tournament.  ALC is seeded 12th and will play Ponca for the C2-5 district title at Central Community College in Columbus.  Match time is scheduled for 5pm.

Twin Loup will play for the D2-4 district championship Saturday.  The Lady Wolves, who qualified by winning the D2-7 sub district title, will go up against Garden County.  The match will be played at Maxwell high school and is scheduled to serve at 6pm.

Mullen will play for the D2-2 district title against Wynot at St. Paul high school.  Match is scheduled for 6pm.

District championship winners will advance to the state tournament which begins Thursday, November 7th in Lincoln.
