The Mullen Broncos finished runner-up as a team at the D4 district wrestling tournament on Saturday. Maxwell was the team champion with 121 points and the Broncos were just one point behind with 120 points. Mullen qualified six wrestlers for the state tournament. The Broncos had three district champions. Jeffery Forsen was champion at 106 lbs. Eli Paxton was champion at 113 and Kyle Durfee was the district champion at 132 lbs. Also qualifying was Chase Gracey who was second at 126 lbs. Spencer DeNaeyer was second at 152 lbs. and Isaac Welch placed third to qualify at 285 lbs.
