Custer County Classic Bull Riding Monday at Custer County Fair

The Trotter Arena at the Custer County Fairgrounds will come alive Monday night as the Custer County Classic Bull Riding and Free Style Match will take place. This will mark the 21st year for the event. Travis Schauda, who will serve as the announcer for this year’s event, told KCNI/KBBN that the fair was looking for something to fill the Monday night slot for entertainment. The idea of a bull riding event was presented and now 21 years later it continues and has become a staple of the Custer County Fair. The event is scheduled to start at 7:30 Monday night in front of the grandstands. Schauda encourages those planning to attend to make sure they are in their seats early. Without going into specific detail, Schauda told us that something special is being added to the opening ceremonies that people will not want to miss. 32-33 bull riders representing seven states as well as Brazil are scheduled to compete for $7,000 + in money and prizes. Dusty Myers, 9 time rodeo clown of the year, will be on hand to help entertain the crowd while Rowdy Moon, Ely Sharkey, Ricky Martinez, and Rocky McDonald will be there to compete in the bullfighter and freestyle competition as well as help protect the competitors.

It all takes place Monday at 7:30 following the free pit bar b q at the Custer County Fairgrounds
