Cody-Kilgore’s Egger; Kaycee’s Largent Among the Defensive Stars in All-Star Game

ALBION – Don’t believe for one moment that defense isn’t a universal key to victory in football.

Defense ruled the day in the 7th Annual Nebraska-Wyoming Six-Man Shootout, with Wyoming winning 16-14.

It was the lowest scoring game by a wide margin in the game’s seven-year history, and Garrett Egger (Cody-Kilgore) and Mark Largent (Kaycee) were big reasons why.

Egger recovered a fumble that led to a Nebraska score, while forcing a fumble later in the same quarter that was recovered by a teammate in the endzone.

Largent, meanwhile, did a little bit of everything for Wyoming, with a sack, a fumble recovery and a safety.
