It’s round 2 of the Class D2 high school football playoffs today. Earlier this season, Mullen and Sandhills/Thedford met in one of the top regular season games of the year. Tonight both will look to advance in the D2 playoffs to set up a rematch next week. Speaking of rematches, Mullen will meet Garden County for the second time this season. The Broncos won the regular season meeting between the two 35-16. Today’s game is scheduled to kick off at 5pm mountain time in Mullen. The Sandhills/Thedford Knights advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a 48-26 win over Bertrand last week. Tonight S/T must go on the road to play an 8-1 Overton team which edged Giltner in the opening round last week 42-34. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7pm. The other 2nd round west bracket matchups in Class D2 today include Clearwater-Orchard vs Lawrence-Nelson and Riverside vs Kenesaw.
