The Broken Bow Spirit 18U girls softball team had a busy weekend playing 4 games in all. Two were played Saturday and two more on Sunday. Bow finished the weekend going 1-3. The Spirit picked up their win on Saturday knocking off the Cozad Classics. The game was tied at 1 after two innings but Bow would score 3 runs in the third and one more in the 4th to collect a 5-1 win. The Spirit were shutout by the Lincoln Rockets on Saturday then lost two tight ones on Sunday falling 3-1 to the Aurora Impact and dropping a heartbreaker to the Ord/CCV Sandhills Sharks as the Sharks scored two runs in their final at bat to come from behind for a 3-2 walk off win.
The Spirit are now 2-5 on the season.
