The Broken Bow wrestling team will travel to Valentine on Thursday for its annual triangular with Gothenburg and Valentine. The event will begin with the Gothenburg / Valentine dual at 5 p.m. followed by Broken Bow vs Gothenburg and then conclude with Broken Bow vs Valentine. The Indians were ranked #4 in Class B in the NEWrestle.com team rankings released on January 4th. The website has three Broken Bow wrestlers ranked in the top 3 of their weight class. Cyrus Wells #3 at 126 lbs. Casey Faulkenberry #2 at 132 lbs. and Lathan Duda #1 at 195 lbs. The website has Valentine ranked 10th in their Class C rankings highlighted by Chris Williams who is listed #1 at 126 lbs. Broken Bow head wrestling coach Ed Schaaf told KCNI/KBBN sports it is always fun and a battle when they get to dual the Badgers.
Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will provide live coverage of Broken Bow’s duals vs Gothenburg and Valentine. Radio coverage can be heard on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. Coverage is scheduled to begin around 6 – 6:30 central time.
