Broken Bow Wins Thrilling Regular Season Finale Over Centura

The Broken Bow Indians ended the regular season in dramatic fashion with a come from behind win over Centura Friday night at Mark Russell Field. With the score tied at 13 going into halftime, Centura came out in the third quarter and scored right away on a 66 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Ruhl to Noah Wooden to make the score 20-13. Centura later added a field goal to lead by 10. Bow would respond before the end of the quarter as Grayson Garey hooked up with Josh Harvey twice on touchdown passes of 10 and 7 yards to give Broken Bow a 27-23 lead going into the 4th. Centura would respond again putting together a 69 yard touchdown drive capped off by a 6 yard touchdown run by Kyle Bentley to retake the lead 30-27. That would set the stage for a wild final 5 minutes. Faced with a 4th down and 15 and the game on the line, Grayson Garey would hook up with Josh Harvey on a dramatic reception that Harvey advanced to the 1 yard line to set up the go ahead touchown with 3:36 remaining in the game. On the following Centura possession, Lathan Duda intercepted a Tyler Ruhl pass which set up another Broken Bow touchdown as the Indians closed it out with a 41-30 win. After the game, head coach Mike Garner commented how proud he was of the heart his kids showed again and was very happy for them. Broken Bow ends the season at 5-4 on the season.
