Broken Bow claimed the boys team title at the Broken Bow cross country invite held Saturday at the Broken Bow golf club and golf course. Broken Bow won the boys team championship with Gothenburg finishing second. The boys individual champion was Ty Schlueter of Ainsworth with a winning time of 17:01.26. Broken Bow placed 5 runners in the top 20 led by Daine Wardyn who was 4th in a time of 17:40.67. Noah Osmond placed 6th (18:02.24), Jesse Gallian was 7th (18:08.18), Brock Oeltjen was 12th (18:28.34), and Trey Hurlburt finished 16th overall (18:39.88). Ty Greenland of Arcadia/Loup City had a top 15 finish placing 11th (18:28.30) and Colin Rooney of Sandhills Valley placed 15th overall (18:37.89).
The girls team title was won by McCook. Broken Bow placed 4th in the girls team standings. The girls individual champion was Samantha Rodewald of McCook in a winning time of 20:32.18. Broken Bow placed three runners in the top 20 led by Makinley Tobey who finished 10th in a time of 21:58.46. Cassidy Schweitzer placed 17th (22:26.24) and Gracie Hackel was 19th (22:36.80). South Loup placed two runners in the top 25. Ella Cool was 21st (23:09.13) and Heidi Donegan was 24th (23:37.04).
