Broken Bow Wins Over Minden on the Road

The Broken Bow football team picked up its first win of the season 27-14 on the road against Minden Friday night. Minden scored first on a 92 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Elijah Lovin to Jay Maska in the 2nd quarter but Broken Bow would respond with touchdowns on their next 3 possessions. Grayson Garey hit Patrick Powers on a 12 yard TD pass with 31 seconds remaining in the first half to tie the game at 7 at halftime. Bow scored on its opening two possessions of the second half as Garey connected with Powers again for a 32 yard touchdown reception and Frazier Kaelin scored on a 10 yard touchdown run with 6:19 left in the 3rd quarter to put Broken Bow in front 20-7. Minden answered with a 20 yard touchdown run by Eddie Gonzalez to make the score 20-14 but in the 4th quarter Broken Bow’s Trey Brooks recovered a Minden fumble on the Minden 11 yard line which set up Frazier Kaelin for his second touchdown run of the night this time from 3 yards out to make the score 27-14 and help Broken Bow pick up its first win of the season. The Indians are now 1-1 and will host Ogallala for homecoming on Friday (9/7)
