Broken Bow Travels to Face Rival Gothenburg

The Broken Bow football team will travel to Gothenburg tonight to face the Swedes as both teams will look for their first win of the season.  Both teams have faced strong competition in the first two weeks.  Gothenburg’s losses have come to Cozad and Kearney Catholic who are both undefeated and ranked #7 and #2 respectively in Class C1 by the Omaha World Herald this week.  Bow’s losses have come to Ogallala who is 2-0 and to top ten ranked St. Paul.  The Indians are trying to navigate through some injuries in the opening weeks of the season.  Coach Carlie Wells talked to KCNI/KBBN sports about building depth to help fill open spots.

Tonight’s game between the Indians and the Swedes will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.  Coverage begins with the Custer Federal State Bank Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6 with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.
