Broken Bow Track Competes at Marsh Beck Invite in Minden

The Broken Bow boys and girls track teams competed at the Marsh Beck Invite in Minden on Thursday. Adams Central was the girls team champion with 184 points followed by Cozad with 141 points and Broken Bow finished 3rd with 77. The boys team title went to GICC with 127 points. Adams Central was second and Gibbon was third. Broken Bow finished with 62 points.

Lexie Foster claimed gold for the Indians by winning the 3200 meter run in a time of 12:42.3. Lindsay Schauda placed first in the girls 300 meter hurdles in a winning time of 48.7. Matt Ambler of Broken Bow tied for 1st in the boys pole vault by clearing 11’6″.

Several Broken Bow competitors finished in the top three of their event.

Boys – Riley Peterson – 3rd in the discus ; Mykael Stoddard – 3rd in pole vault ; Grayson Garey – 3rd in the 400 ; Kevin Linn – 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles ; Broken Bow (Grayson Garey, Tycen Marten, Mykael Stoddard, and Kevin Linn) 2nd in the 4×100 meter relay
