The Broken Bow girls golf team will be among those competing at the C4 district meet at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island Tuesday. Joining Broken Bow at Tuesday’s meet will be Arcadia/Loup City, Cambridge, Centura, Cozad, Doniphan-Trumbull, Gibbon, Gothenburg, GICC, Kearney Catholic, Minden, Ravenna, and Southwest. The Lady Indians have enjoyed a lot of success this season including their last time out when they claimed their first Southwest Conference team championship last week. Broken Bow girls golf coach Kelly Cooksley told KCNI/KBBN sports that the girls’ course management and their mental toughness have been some of the keys to their success this season.

This will be the second time that Broken Bow has played at Indianhead this season.  Coach Cooksley said that the course will offer a great challenge but is excited to see how the team will attack it and how far they have improved from when they played it earlier in the season.

The top three teams and top ten individuals, including ties, will advance out of the C4 district meet to advance to the NSAA Class C girls golf state tournament October 12th and 13th at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.
